The locals of Berber established their dwelling in Grazalema and introduced agricultural pursuits that still exist today. Raising sheep was common among the natives which later paved the way for Grazalema to become the chief producer of woolen blankets in years that followed.
Duke of Arcos took over Grazalema from the Moors in the 1480s but the industry of producing woolen blankets transcended generations.
