Olvera

A castle on top of its hill is Olvera’s main attraction but the steps going there are equally magnificent, tourists find its lure irresistible.

Olvera is a town of quiet beauty. It lacks the funfare of other towns in Cádiz but its whitewashed village and everything in it speaks for itself. Its Arabian-style castle on top of the hill is unique and resplendent.

Figuring prominently as one of Andalucia’s White Villages, Olvera is in the middle of the mountain range of Cádiz, in the northeastern part of another town, Ronda. It rises above the waters at approximately 620 m. and inhabited only by at least 10,000 people.
