Estates of the noble families are one attraction in Bornos. Famous stately mansions include the Casa de las Sillas, Casa de los Ordóñez and the Castillo-Palacio de los Ribera. Other historical monuments are the churches: Ermita de la Resurrección, Ermita del Calvario, the Iglesia Parroquial de Santo Domingo de Guzmán and the Monasterio de los Jerónimos. There is also the Convento del Corpus Christi and the Castillo de Fontanar built in the 13th century.
Bornos is located just northeast of the nature reserve of Cola del Embalse de Arcos. Being a nature reserve in itself, it covers an area of 630 hectares and features flora similar to that of Arcos: redbeds and bulrushes and patches of tamarisk. Fauna highlights Otters as the main mammals in the reserve. There are also a variety of birds such as Egrets and Ospreys as well as grey, purple and night Herons.
