There are many historical sites in Puerto Serrano. Visitors should make it a point to visit all of them. First among these is the Parroquia de Santa Maria Magdalena (“Parish of St. Mary Magdalene”). This church is dedicated to the town’s patron St. Mary Magdalene. The structure is largely in neoclassical style, but some baroque can be seen in some areas.
Next to the parish, an old Carmelite convent, the Molino de Siré, can be found. Like the Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, the convent features a curious mix of neoclassical and baroque. It gets its name from the fact that an old olive oil mill stood on its very site.
