Cadiz Beach Ever been to Cadiz Spain yet? Did you know that this province of Spain is appointed of having the best beaches all over the world? True, in fact most of the beach lovers can be spotted around Cadiz enjoying the glimmering crystal like beach and its powder like sand. Though Cadiz is full of magnificent panorama, but the province is best known for its beaches. Within the longed stretch of beaches, you can see along the coast various hotels. But when being compared to the Costa del Sol, the hotels within the coast of Cadiz are not overpopulated.

Los Caños de Meca / Zahora—the favorite part of the surfers; if you are one of the avid surfers, this part of Cadiz is worth the try. If you chose to cross the coastal N-340 highway, you will be passing over the small mountain edge in order to arrive, but there is nothing for you to worry, because everything would be worthy.

Chiclana / Novo Sancti Petri (La Barrosa)—ideal for every tourist, choosing this beach is worthy because it has lots to offer. The beach is nestling in one of the most prestigious resort hotels in the province. Cadiz’s Famous Temples

Cadiz is one of the best places in Spain when it comes to its beauty and spots. It has lots of ruins that you should not miss to discover when you were in the city. A short stroll to the famous historic landmark of the city which is the Cadiz Cathedral is a good idea. You will be amazed of its façade and its inner part. The fantastic golden tiled dome is incredibly amazing. It has been said that the covered dome and the entire structure of the cathedral is from the 18th century since the baroque period. The cathedral is the best destination if you want to feel the real essence of serenity and calmness. While the lower part of the cathedral found the middle round basement, when you make a sound the echo creates a mind-boggling effect.

Upon strolling the cathedral, you will be stunned with its various collections that include the resting place of the previous famous music composer Manuel de Falla. From here, you will also be witnessing the old quarters where you will discover the Fine Arts and Archaeology Museum. The museum houses some of the relics being used for fishing in the fishing port. The museum also collects some paintings of the two famous Spanish painters; Zurbaran and Rubens.

Aside from the Cadiz Cathedral, the Oratorio of Santa Cruz is also an interesting temple of worship. The temple features two unique areas: the first floor caters the monotonous 18th century chapel with a crucifix on it, while on the upper floor you can see the ornamented church, and because of its amazing decoration, it is like it has been fall down from the clouds. Goya’s religious canvases is also a must see, this is an opportunity that you should not miss to visit.

Cadiz Carnival is Fast Approaching

Carnival Costume Carnival in Cadiz is fast approaching, and you should not miss this exciting and most famous event in the city. The event would be this coming February 19 so never miss this chance of witnessing the carnival especially if you were here already. The city of Cadiz is designated as the province of the same name. During the Cadiz carnival, most of the Cadiz residences are wearing vibrant costumes and masks. There will be music to hear in every corner of Cadiz. The Cadiz Carnival is considered as one of the most important events in Spain. Due to it, the event was declared as a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest.

Just recently, the Hollywood stars kick off the street in Cadiz to film their movie which would be launch this year of July. The stars namely Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise will be acting on the action-comedy movie the “Knight and Day”. The municipal government of Cadiz never hesitated to give the producers of the film to get their permit, because they wanted also to promote Cadiz in the tourism industry.

It has been said that due to the economic crisis that the world is now facing, Cadiz tourism industry has been declining compared to the previous years. Due to this, the officials of the region are encouraging more Hollywood makers and stars to do filming in the region, also for the purpose of uplifting Cadiz to the international imagery.

The experience is unbeatable and you will never forget what you see and experience during this time. Because Cadiz’s carnival is the most extravagant carnival all over the European countries, due to that millions of tourists are lured to witness the said event every year. The carnival will last for about 10 days or two weeks, so it is advice for you to get your room ahead of time before going here if you do not want to sleep on the street. During the carnival check out the groups of gaditanos or the people of Cadiz, they prepared something for everybody. Eventually in 1970 the two museums which are the museum of Fine Arts and Archaeology were merged.
